The Loose team may have missed out to Scam Interceptors for a Daytime TV Bafta on Sunday, but that hasn't dimmed the production's spirit.

On today's programme, Vernon declared: "The Loose Men are back. Nothing has been off limits in the previous episodes of our award-winning show.

"On Friday, join me alongside new faces and old ones as we take over the panel.

"We know how important it is for me to get talking. That's all in our Loose Men special for Mental Health Awareness Week."Last year the spin-off programme scooped a prestigious RTS Programme Award in the Daytime category.

Andi Peters, Ore Oduba and Shaun Wallace were on hand to collect the gong, and TV supremo Andi said: "It's so great for the show to be recognised for what it stands for.

"Loose Women and Loose Men, it's all about discussing things that are important to the viewer."

Ore added: ""This show totally changed my life because without having a chance to talk about my issues that I was going through I probably would still be dealing with them on my own.

"It gave us a platform we could share, the viewer response was amazing.

"For the television industry to recognise the moment that we shared on telly for that one hour but for what the legacy of it - what it means for everyone who watched it - is really important."

Joe's appearance on Loose Men will come mere days after he received a brutal Baftas burn from the show hosts.

Comedian Rob Beckett couldn't resist making a cheeky gag as he introduced Joe's wife Stacey Solomon to the stage.

"Next is the award for factual entertainment, to present it is the host of Sort Your Life Out," co-host Romesh Ranganathan announced.

Rob then quipped: "Which is a bit much coming from the person who married Joe Swash."

He quickly added that Stacey was a "national treasure".

Giggling as she walked onto the stage, Stacey looked over to the hosts and said: "He's not that bad," before joking: "He is".
