Police ask for help identifying non-verbal mystery woman found wandering streets of Harlem

A mystery woman found wandering the streets in Harlem has been in a hospital for more than two months, unable to speak and her name unknown, police said Wednesday.
A photo of the woman was released by the NYPD in the hope a family member or friend will step forward to identify her.
Medics responding to a 911 call and encountered the woman at W. 135th St. and Lenox Ave., right by Harlem Hospital, around midnight March 29.
She was taken to Harlem Hosptial, where doctors determined she is non-verbal. It does not appear she was the victim of a crime.
The NYPD was only recently notified. It wasn’t immediately clear why that took so long.
Police believe she is between 50 and 60 and either Asian or Hispanic.
