A woman broke into a Bronx man’s apartment, put him in a headlock and punched him several times before running off with this cellphone, police said.
The 40-year-old victim told police he was in his apartment near E. 156th St. and Forest Ave. in the South Bronx about 8:40 p.m. on Saturday when the woman, a complete stranger in her mid-20s, began frantically banging on his door.
When the man opened the door, the woman claimed she was looking for a man named Jose, sources said.
She put her foot in the doorway to stop it from closing, then charged in and put the victim in a headlock, punching him several times in the face, cops said.
At one point, the victim dropped his iPhone 10 on the floor, and she ran off with it, police said.
The Bronx resident suffered some minor injuries, but refused medical attention, authorities said.
No arrests have been made.
Cops on Thursday released surveillance video of the woman outside the victim’s apartment.
She is about 5-foot-1, 150 pounds with long dark hair that was in a bun during the attack. She also has a piercing on her lip and a tattoo on her right hand, police said.
