A south Florida man who invited a woman he met on a dating app to visit his apartment early Wednesday morning ended up getting shot by two armed intruders who stormed his home shortly after she arrived, police said.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, but the three suspects are still at large.

The shooting happened around 3:30 a.m., shortly after he invited the woman to his home in Miramar, according to police.

The pair of armed intruders broke into the apartment moments after she arrived and a physical altercation ensued, police told Local 10 News. Another man who was inside the apartment at the time was also assaulted, but his relationship to the victim was not immediately clear.

Police have yet to release a description of the suspects.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Broward County Crime Stoppers.

This is at least the second shooting reported in recent days involving a late-night hookup.

A Michigan man who thought he was meeting a woman for sex last week ended up getting robbed and shot by her boyfriend, authorities said. The 22-year-old victim survived the shooting and the couple was busted the following day.
