Jordanian Air Force drops aid into Gaza for the first time in months

Jordanian airplanes have dropped aid into the Gaza strip for the first time in several months.

Exclusive footage given to CNN by the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) showed the devastation of the Gaza strip from the cockpit in the skies over Gaza, which is facing a humanitarian crisis.

The RJAF – which has played a central role bringing aid to Gaza - said it had dropped approximately 6.6 tons of basic food supplies into the embattled enclave Tuesday.

So far, the RJAF has conducted 124 airdrops, in addition to 266 airdrops in cooperation with other countries, it said in a statement.

The mission was the first of its kind in five months, Reuters reported.
