HORROR FALL Dad-of-three plunges to his death from tower block balcony as three arrested over ‘murder’
A DAD-OF-THREE has plunged to his death from a tower block balcony - with three people arrested over the alleged murder.
Police raced to Black Friar Court in Salford, Greater Manchester, at 8.42pm on Sunday (August 11) after reports a man had fallen from the fourth floor.
A murder investigation was launched after the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Those arrested were a 37-year-old man, a 40-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man, police said.
All three have since been bailed as the investigation continues.
William Waheed Lyall's family have paid tribute to the "kind" and "generous" father.The 57-year-old has been described by his loved ones as a "loving, strong" dad-of-three who 'worked tirelessly' for his family.
Paying tribute to William, his family said: "It is with immense sadness and shock that the family of William Waheed Lyall have learnt of his unexpected death.
"William was loving, strong, resilient and worked tirelessly to provide for his family, not seeking recognition but wanting to see them happy.
"His children meant the world to him and he taught them that true strength comes from selflessness.
"As a brother, he was fun to be with and was always a shoulder to lean on.
"We will miss his kindness, generous heart and his contagious hearty laughter. William may no longer be with us but his spirit, his values and his love will forever guide us.
"William leaves behind three children Aadel, Ahel, Francesco and his wife Dida. The family trusts that the police will leave no stone unturned to determine the details of this tragedy.
"We await the completion of the police investigation so that we can bury William at the Salford Muslim cemetery. Rest in peace, dear William you will be forever missed but never forgotten.”
