THIS is the shocking moment a driver was shot in the back after his car was rammed off the road in a broad daylight attack.
Footage showed a car being shunted through a hedge and into a parked vehicle as the horror unfolded on a quiet residential street
Two people then run towards the wreckage as the confused driver gets out and attempts to flee over a fence.
Three gunshots can then be heard before the two suspects jump into the hatchback they used to ram the victim's car off the road.
Armed police flooded the village in Staffordshire following the horror on August 5.
The victim was rushed to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.A 16-year-old boy and man, 26, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
The attack has been condemned by Tory MP Sir Gavin Williamson, whose constituency covers the area where the horror took place.
He wrote: "I'm very grateful for the swift action that has been taken by Staffordshire Police into this shocking incident in Great Wyrley.
"Great Wyrley is a wonderful and diverse village - incidents of this nature are thankfully rare, but they do cause understandable anxiety and concern in the community."Please do contact the police with any information, and I would caution against social media speculation to allow the justice process to proceed."
Staffordshire Police also urged anyone with information to come forward.
A spokesperson said: "At 8.25pm on Monday night (5 August), we were called to Field Lane after someone heard a suspected gunshot.
"Armed officers went to the scene and found an injured man, in his 20s. He had a wound to his back consistent with a gunshot.
"He was taken to hospital by paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service. His injuries are not life-threatening.
"Detectives have been investigating what happened, reviewing CCTV and carrying out door-to-door enquiries in the area."
Anyone with information has been asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 599 of 5 August.
