UP IN FLAMES Liverpool fire: Major blaze erupts in city centre as huge plume of smoke visible for miles with ‘debris everywhere’

A MAJOR blaze has erupted in Liverpool city centre.

Shocking photos and video footage showed plumes black smoke billowing into the sky above the city.

Videos and photos posted on social media by onlookers showed the inferno could be seen from miles away.

The blaze started in an unfinished building on Fox Street, Everton, it is understood.

The road has now been closed and emergency services are in attendance at the scene.The Sun has reached out to Merseyside Fire for comment.
