Israel-Hamas war: IDF executes 'precise' mission inside al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) says that it is currently "carrying out a precise and targeted operation" in Gaza's al-Shifa Hospital on Wednesday morning, where Hamas terrorists have been operating.

"The IDF is conducting a ground operation in Gaza to defeat Hamas and rescue our hostages," the IDF's statement read. "Israel is at war with Hamas, not with the civilians in Gaza."

"Yesterday, the IDF conveyed to the relevant authorities in Gaza once again that all military activities within the hospital must cease within 12 hours," the IDF said. "Unfortunately, it did not."

The military also says that it has been communicating regularly with authorities in the hospital, and that they have "facilitated wide-scale evacuations of the hospital."

"We call upon all Hamas terrorists present in the hospital to surrender," the statement added.
