400 Americans cleared to leave Gaza as soon as today, sources involved in negotiations say

400 Americans have been cleared to leave Gaza through the Rafah crossing to Egypt as soon as today, two sources involved in the negotiations told Fox News Digital.

The U.S. State Department is working to assign American citizens in Gaza specific departure dates, and officials say they’ll notify those in Gaza who have already been in contact with the U.S. government.

Dozens of foriegn passport holders were allowed to leave through the crossing on Wednesday following negotiations between the U.S., Egypt, Israel and Qatar. The Rafah crossing had previously remained closed at the insistance of both Israel and Egypt.
