WAG WAR Coleen Rooney reveals Rebekah Vardy sent her messages ‘pretending to be shocked’ after leaking stories about the couple

REBEKAH Vardy didn't just leak information about her Wagatha rival Coleen - she also pretended to be a supportive pal while lulling her into a false sense of security.

In the new Disney+ documentary, which drops on Wednesday, Mrs Rooney reveals she got a string of messages from her and believes she pretended to be shocked and tried to throw her off the scent.

That included Rebekah contacting Coleen immediately after Wayne's latest scandal, which she took as a kind gesture from a fellow football WAG who knew what it was like to be in the spotlight.

She said: "Throughout that day I was getting messages saying are you ok? It was my private account so it was just people letting me know that they were there if I needed them.

"Rebekah got in touch. I thought it was a nice message. I thought she was just being caring and sympathising because she'd been in the public eye as well."

The message read:  "If you ever just want to get away with the kids you're more than welcome at mine Hun....you can have our annex!"

Innocently, Coleen replied: "Thank you, that's really thoughtful....I'm at my mum's at the minute."

Rebekah responded: "Offer is always there if you need me."

It was shortly after this exchange that Rebekah apparently leaked her first story from the private Instagram account, which Coleen chose not to act on.

Then when she leaked a second and third story, Coleen put up repeated warnings on her account saying she realised one of her followers was betraying her and asked them to stop.

Rebekah then messaged her again, this time to say:  "Omg wtf is wrong with people!" and suggested that a journalist might have accessed her Instagram without her realising. But she still didn't think it could have been Rebekah.

Coleen said: "We were in the same world in a way, We both are married to footballers, both in the public eye and it made sense to me that she knew what the press were capable of.

"So Rebekah's message did make me feel a bit paranoid in a way."

Although the unfolding drama was chronicled in reports from their High Court clash, Coleen says she is revisiting it because, unlike her Wagatha rival, she has never spoken in detail about her experience.

She says in the documentary: "Throughout the trial I kept silent because I was under oath, and still to this day I haven't said anything. I feel like everyone else has had their say about the court case and how it all began,.

"But for me to move on in life and especially in the public eye I just feel that it's right that I have my say as well, and tell the story in my own words how it was - from beginning to end."
