Travis Kelce On Taylor Swift Dating Rumors: ‘Threw The Ball In Her Court’

NFL player Travis Kelce addressed rumors that he was dating megastar Taylor Swift, which have been heating up in recent weeks.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end made the remarks during an appearance on ESPN’s “The Pat McAfee Show” Thursday. He didn’t confirm the rumors, but he didn’t deny them either, deciding instead to let fans in on a few small details.

“It’s life, baby,” Travis told McAfee when asked about the rampant rumors. “I threw the ball in her court and told her, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead. You might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one’s a little more lit.’ We’ll see what happens in the near future,” he said, referring to the home stadium for the Chiefs.

“It’s hilarious how much traction this has actually got,” Travis continued. “It’s like an old game in school called ‘Telephone,’ where everybody is just whispering in each other’s ear, just hearing some random stuff. No one actually knows what’s going on.

Travis’s older brother Jason Kelce, who also plays in the NFL as a center for the Philadelphia Eagles, helped fuel the rumors during a conversation he had with 94 WIP in Philadelphia on Wednesday.“It’s hard to answer, because I don’t really know what’s happening in Travis’ love life, and I try to, like, keep, you know, his business kind of his business and stay out of that world,” Jason said when asked if he knew anything about his brother dating Swift.

“But having said that, man, I think he’s doing great. I think it’s all 100% true,” he addedThe rumors were kicked off by an article in The Messenger which stated that Travis had been “quietly hanging out” with Swift for weeks

“She and Travis have hung out twice, and it’s nothing serious. She thinks he is very charming, and they have been texting this last week,” an unnamed source told the publication in late September. “He is a little embarrassed at how much attention they are getting, but he has told her he would love to continue seeing her.

Travis has mentioned Swift before. The Chiefs player said during a July podcast appearance that he was “disappointed” he didn’t get to interact with the pop star when he attended one of her shows.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows, because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Travis said at the time. “So, I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”

He added, “If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets, and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.”
