A channel source told Mail Online: "Danny is one of the most exciting signings for this series, he will be the hunk of the line-up and already there is talk of him and shower scenes amongst staff working on the programme.

"There is also huge anticipation that he will reveal secrets from his showbiz lifestyle, he has been linked to many women over the years, and his scandals are well documented too so there will be lots for him to share."

He was also linked to Caroline Flack and Kirsty Gallacher before marrying mental health campaigner Victoria Rose in April 2021.

Danny was nicknamed Danny Chipolata - a reference to his manhood - by his ex Pricey after he cheated.

In her explosive 2013 autobiography - Love, Lipstick and Lies - she revealed how she walked in on him in bed with another woman.

Katie wrote: "In my experience, he was a bit – erm – lean in the most obvious departments.

"That’s why I nicknamed him Danny Chipolata. He can no longer hit the right spots on the rugby field and he certainly can’t find them on a woman."

Danny is known as a bad boy in the sports world who was arrested for assaulting a bouncer and police officer.

The former Gloucester and England fly-half puts years of partying, womanising and rows with clubs, colleagues and the law down to his dad walking out on him and his mum when he was six.

He said: “Looking back, I think a key problem is that I didn’t have a father figure.

“Mum was amazing and couldn’t have done more.

"But I didn’t have anyone to teach me about how to be a man.”
