Texas zoo grieves loss of Twiga, a 31-year-old giraffe accepted to be one of world's most established in imprisonment

 A zoo in Texas has reported the demise of its 31-year-old giraffe, Twiga. The female Masai giraffe was accepted to be the most established giraffe in bondage, as per the zoo.

Twiga was brought into the world at the Los Angeles Zoo in October 1991 and was almost 32 years of age when she kicked the bucket Friday night in Lufkin, Texas, the Ellen Trout Zoo said in a proclamation on Facebook.

The zoo said giraffes regularly live around 25 years.

Prior to showing up in Lufkin, Twiga likewise invested energy at the Racine Zoo in Wisconsin.

"Twiga helped our other two giraffes, Kellen and Luna, feel great in their new home in Lufkin," Zoo Chief Gordon Henley said in the proclamation. "She will be incredibly missed."
