A 19-YEAR-OLD has died in a horror stabbing with another teenager hospitalised.
Cops cordoned off a street in Ormskirk, Lancashire, after two 19-year-olds were injured in an a serious incident.
One teenager was rushed to hospital after being found with stab injuries but paramedics were unable to save his life.
The second teen, who was also hospitalised, is believed to have injuries that are not life threatening.
A 19-year-old from Liverpool and a 19-year-old man from Maghull have been arrested on suspicion of affray with both currently in police custody.
Lancashire Police have confirmed that the arrests relate to an altercation involving a "number of males" which was reported just after midnight today.
Cops cordoned off streets and patrolled the scene after the fatal stabbing.
Businesses within the police tape are currently closed.
A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: " A 19-year-old man from Liverpool and a 19-year-old man from Maghull have been arrested on suspicion of affray. They remain in custody at this time.
"A significant area within the town centre has been secured as a crime scene
"Anyone with information or footage is asked to call 101, quoting log 0006 of July 29, 2023."
This morning, West Lancashire Borough Council tweeted: “Due to a police incident in Ormskirk Town Centre last night, areas on Moor Street and Railway Road have been cordoned off.
"Some market traders have been relocated, but the market is open as usual.”
