Video shows Mark Zuckerberg fighting in jiu-jitsu match; Facebook founder won gold, silver medals

 Facebook founder. Billionaire. Philanthropist.

Add jiu-jitsu gold medal winner to that list.

Mark Zuckerberg, 38, recently competed in his first jiu-jitsu tournament and won gold and silver medals, he announced on Instagram.

In photos posted on his social media account, Zuckerberg is seen posing with other competitors and in one, a referee holds his hand up after he appeared to win one of the matches.

"Competed in my first jiu jitsu tournament and won some medals for the Guerrilla Jiu Jitsu team," the American business magnate posted on Instagram Sunday. "Thanks to @davecamarillo @khaiwu @intense0ne for training me!"

Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu, a jiu-jitsu training company based in San Jose, California, offers beginner and advanced training to anyone from children as young as 3 years old to adults, according to its website. It was not immediately clear where the competition took place. Zuckerberg lives in the Bay Area with his wife and three children.

Zuckerberg famously started Facebook, whose parent is Meta, at Harvard in 2004 at age 19.
