During WWII, Japanese Soldiers Gave Out Grenades So Citizens Could Kill Themselves After The War

The battle at Okinawa, Japan was the last major battle of the Second World War.

During the struggle, more than 545,000 U.S. troops stormed the archipelago, killing nearly 25% of Okinawa's pre-war population. Although most details about the battle have been written in the pages of textbooks for decades, one important fact was left out of American books and might soon be wiped from Japanese textbooks as well.
