A sticky situation! Van driver REVERSES across makeshift bridge made of two flimsy tree trunks in China

    In a nail-biting video, reminiscent of a Top Gear challenge, the driver is seen tentatively reversing backwards on a crude bridge made of two flimsy tree branches which are little more than giant sticks.

    With incredible precision and bravery, he eventually manages to cross the ditch and reach the other side.The footage was captured on Tuesday in Kunming of southern Yunnan province. 

    It was posted on Kuaishou, a Chinese video-sharing platform, by Lao Kun, a car enthusiast who witnessed the astonishing moment.

    In the two-minute clip, the two sticks clearly struggle to carry the weight of the white van, but the driver shows his skill and nerves of steel.

    He slowly reversed the vehicle onto the makeshift bridge stretched across the water before carefully edging backwards.

    Within just over a minute, the Chinese man eventually drove backwards to safety and he reached the other side of the ditch.

    The cameraman rushed to congratulate the motorist, Mr Zhang, who seemed relaxed and unfazed about what he had just accomplished.

    Social media users expressed their amazement at the man's cautious driving skills over the feeble bridge.

    One terrified viewer wrote ‘I was scared watching this honestly’ whilst another called the man ‘driver of the year’.

    A third commenter exclaimed: ‘Wow! I honestly think that was nuts. Although really amazing, I don't know why he was willing to do it in the first place.’
