Crafty mother-of-three transforms pink doll's house into superhero lair for her three-year-old son for less than £35 using B&Q paint samples and wall stickers from eBay

Tanya Fox, 41, took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group on Facebook to share the DIY job she carried out as a Christmas present for son Chester.
The mother-of-three, from Aberdeen, shared before and after photos of the creation as well as a walkthrough on how to complete the look.She told FEMAIL that the project took around 20 hours to complete and is now encouraging other parents to do the same.

Tanya told FEMAIL: 'Chester had previously had a little plastic barbie house which was next to useless (especially when Hulk and Spider-Man were battling in it!) so when he asked for a bigger barbie house this year, I knew the challenge was set!
'I've actually had the house stashed away since March, but only started doing it up in December.The mother-of-three began by buying the appropriate materials to transform the house, buying rolls of wrapping paper from The Range for the floor of the home.
Meanwhile she picked up samples of wallpaper from B&Q and The Range, before buying superhero stickers from eBay.

She spent hours working on the project after her children went to bed each night, revealing: 'It took a few nights, once the children had gone to bed. Probably 20 hours roughly all in.'
Meanwhile she confessed she'd been forced to dismantle the house, saying: 'I started to 'renovate' with the house intact but found it so fiddly I decided to take it all apart first, which made it so much easier.
'I found the longest thing was waiting for the paint to dry!'
'I'd definitely encourage other parents to do the same! It's so much more meaningful when there's a bit of effort gone into a gift. I loved doing it and he loves playing with it!
She has since told FEMAIL that the project took around 20 hours to complete and is now encouraging other parents to do the same
'Also, it's a great feeling knowing I've done it so cheaply!'
She said the project, which cost her a total of £35 in total, was a gift from Santa Claus, adding: 'It was a surprise, brought by Father Christmas (although my son's eldest sister rumbled me when she discovered it hidden under a blanket!).'
In her Facebook post, Tanya wrote: 'Completed for a total of around £35, including the house which I bought from marketplace.
'Here is my three-year-old boy's dream house. Last year he wanted Father Christmas to bring him a barbie house and this year he wanted a "bigger barbie house".

'As he spent most of his time playing with Hulk and Spider-Man in the original barbie house I put on my thinking cap and here is the result.'
She revealed the price breakdown for the mini home renovation, saying: 'The flooring was from The Range, it's £12.60 a roll but I reckon I've got enough to do another house left.
'The Spider-Man red walls are painted using a tester pot from B&Q, Floor on balcony is a cork tile.
'The hulk walls are lined with craft paper from The Range and the Hulk sticker came from eBay.

'The Spider-Man, Avengers, brick and slate wallpapers are all samples I had from b&m, The Range or B&Q. I just used PVA to stick it on.
'The windows are edged in insulation tape to stop the paper from catching and peeling.'
