A new father who was battered to death as he tried to break up a fight outside a JD Wetherspoon pub has been pictured.
The victim, 24, named locally as Reece Cox, was caught up in violence at a taxi rank near The Clifton in Sedgley, West Midlands at around midnight on Saturday. 
He suffered serious head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
West Midlands Police sealed off High Street and Ettymore Road to pedestrians while a forensic search was carried out at the scene.
Officers have urged the public not to share footage of the fight, which was circulating on social media.

Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said staff at The Clifton had gone to the aid of an injured man after two assaults involving a group of men near a taxi rank.  
Mr Gershon said: 'The pub's CCTV shows a group of males by the taxi rank at the side of the pub attacking another male.
'The individual managed to get away and ran to the front of the pub where he was let in for his own safety. 
'Once the group dispersed, door staff at the pub went to assist him on the floor, putting him in the recovery position.  
'No members of the group or the two men who were attacked had been in the pub.
'We extend our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the individual who passed away.'

One social media user said: 'RIP Reece. Your baby will be taught what a real man his dad was. You're in a better place.'
A second post read: 'RIP Reece Cox, you are a hero, fly high.'  
Another said: 'Rest in peace bro. Will never be forgotten, condolences to your loved ones.'   
West Midlands Police have yet to officially name the victim and no arrests have been made.
Detective Inspector Laura Harrison said: 'Our thoughts are with the family of this young man who has sadly lost his life.
'We are in the early stages of our investigations but we understand he may have tried to intervene in a fight when he was fatally injured.
'I believe the community of Sedgley will respond as we appeal for anyone we have not yet spoken with and who may information about what happened last night to get in touch with us.'
Temporary Superintendent Jason Anderson, of the Dudley neighbourhood team, said on Sunday officers will be 'patrolling the area over the coming days to provide reassurance'.
