Tragedy as a young woman dies in hospital after police found her lying outside a home with stab wounds as 'a man known to her' lay dead inside
- Police were called to a home on Tongariro Terrace, Bidwill in Sydney's west
- They found a woman, in her 20s, with stab wounds to her stomach on Saturday
- A man, also in his 20s, was found inside the home with stab wounds to his chest
- He died at the scene and she was taken to hospital but died from her wounds
A man and a woman have been killed after a double stabbing in Sydney's west.
Emergency services were called to a home on Tongariro Terrace, Bidwill, on Saturday just before 12.45pm.
Police found a woman, in her 20s, who had been stabbed in the stomach outside the house.
When they entered the house, they found a man, also in his 20s, who had been stabbed in the chest. He died at the scene.
The woman was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition but died from her wounds.

NSW police said the pair were known to each other.
They have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the double stabbing.
Police said they are not seeking anyone else in relation to the death's of the man and woman.
'A crime scene has been established which will be examined by specialist forensic police,' NSW police said in a statement.
