New Jersey brothers face kidnapping, sexual assault charges after picking up four minors: police

Two brothers in New Jersey who approached four juveniles out walking and offered them a ride now face kidnapping and sexual assault charges, authorities said Sunday.

The minors were reported missing in Millstone Township on April 22, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

Police said they were picked up early that morning by Wilfrid Cesaire, 28, and his 21-year-old little brother, Wilson. The pair came upon the four, saw them walking, and offered them a ride in their vehicle.

“This must be repeated over and over again – you do not take rides from strangers,” Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said in a statement. “There are predators who will obviously take advantage of any situation as it presents itself.”

The Cesaire brothers then brought the juveniles north to a QuickChek convenience store in Manalapan, authorities said, before taking them about 20 miles east to the Cesaire’s home in Asbury Park.

While there, officials said the brothers gave the four minors marijuana, ecstasy and alcohol. Three of the juveniles told authorities they were sexually assaulted.

Police found the four later that day in Asbury Park and Neptune Township.

Wilson and Wilfrid Cesaire face multiple charges, including sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, as well as kidnapping.

“We will prosecute these individuals to the fullest extent of the law,” Gramiccioni said.

Investigators are looking for more information about the Cesaire brothers and their activities, as well as any other possible victims.
