The case of the creepy stranger behind Jennifer Lopez has finally been solved.

After the entertainer extraordinaire posted a May 15 Instagram selfie following a grueling workout, perceptive followers spotted a potentially menacing dude lurking in the background.

Nearly imperceptible, positioned behind Lopez is a seemingly middle-aged, bald man covering his mouth with his left hand.

“So are we not gong to talk about the person behind her (holding) their mouth?” wrote Twitter user orionsmommy051817.

But an insider in the J. Lo camp has shooed away fears of a potential stalker by revealing that it was only an image of an acquaintance of Lopez’ fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, during a laptop Zoom meeting.

“Jen and Alex’s gym is attached to their office space. When they have a Zoom meeting, they project it on to a big screen,” revealed the unidentified spy to People. “You can see Alex’s arm in the photo. The man in the photo was a business associate on Zoom and his hand was covering his mouth. That is not a mask.”

Lopez, 50, has been social distancing with A-Rod and his daughters, Natasha and Ella, as well her 12-year-old twins, Emme and Max, at their Florida home.

She previously had mentioned that she’s using this free time during the coronavirus pandemic to recharge her batteries through prayer and meditation.

“I’m letting everything take a break — my hair, damaged from 20 years in the business; letting my nails breathe; and generally taking care of myself. We don’t want to come out of this without growing,” said J.Lo.
