The internet is a dangerous place.
A secondary school class in Singapore was Zoom-bombed with explicit photos, and the country has decided to stop using Zoom for school, Channel News Asia reported.
Two white guys hacked a geography class, asked the female students to flash the camera and dropped explicit photos in the conference, parents told CNA. About 40 students were in the class.
Singapore will work with Zoom to enhance security measures, administrators told CNA. In the meantime, however, home-based schooling will continue using other resources.
After similar security concerns, New York City teachers were advised last Sunday to stop using Zoom for class.
Singapore schools just closed Wednesday after an increase in coronavirus cases in the country, the BBC reported. More than 2,100 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Singapore.
