An 18-year-old man was arrested after he broke into Disneyland in Southern California Sunday night amid the theme park’s coronavirus shutdown, police said.
Disneyland security spotted Anaheim resident Jeremiah Smith jumping over a gate into the back lot of the California Adventure theme park, according to the Anaheim Police Department.
Officers responded to the scene with an airship and located Smith around 11 p.m. near a construction site not far from the Guardians of the Galaxy attraction, cops said.
“It appears his intentions were the construction area. He never tried to penetrate deeper into the park,” Sgt. Shane Carringer told the Daily News.
Smith was cited for trespassing and released, police said.
