It’s important for everyone to follow social distancing measures in place right now to slow the spread of coronavirus, but it’s even more important that nobody strangles anyone else for violating those rules.
That’s what a Louisville doctor is accused of doing on Friday evening during a confrontation with a group of teens who were not social distancing. John Rademaker, a local physician, was arrested on Tuesday on charges of strangulation and harassment with physical contact.
Video of the incident made the rounds on social media over the weekend. In the clips, Rademaker appears to angrily approach the teens and put his hands on one of the girls.

The girl did not require hospitalization.

Rademaker’s employer put out a statement saying that he is now on administrative leave, while Louisville police warned others not to follow his example.
"Obviously, we do not advise individuals concerned about social distancing to take matters into their own hands and confront people about it, especially in any physical way,” they said.
