Did they not develop one? Can they not make one out of river reeds, rocks and sticks? After all they did build the world's tallest and most modern skyscrapers, didn't they? And they have produced the most modern computers to guide these machines didn't they? They DID build modern furnaces to refine iron ore into steel, didn't they? Sike, no they are still trying to get past mud-huts. Perhaps in another 1000 years they might be able to do that.
