County officials in Georgia issued an evacuation order for the area around a plastic resin plant after a massive fire broke out on Saturday afternoon.
The Glynn County Board of Commissioners said in a Facebook post at 6:21 p.m. that an evacuation order has been issued for the area within a ½ mile radius of the Pinova plant in Brunswick, Georgia.
According to the board of commissioners, the Jacksonville Fire Department has arrived for support.
There was a fire at the plant on Saturday morning that was deemed contained at 9:55 a.m., but according to officials, it reignited by 3:10 p.m. Before an evacuation order was issued, officials originally established a shelter in place order.

The board of commissioners also said in a Facebook post that there will be air drops of water onto the fire throughout the evening.
According to FOX 30, residents who live within a mile radius of the plant are being asked to stay inside and avoid any activities outside that aren't necessary.
