A man from that group then appeared to pick a fight with the star, lunging at a shirtless Zayn who is heard repeatedly shouting 'what the f**k are you talking about' at him.
The publication reports the unidentified man then shouted a homophobic slur at Zayn who responded with further insults including calling the man a 'b***tard'. The short video shows Zayn become increasingly angry during the confrontation as other members of the group try to break up the situation.
TMZ reports that no physical fight ensued and that the police were not involved.

Zayn lives in New York with his model girlfriend Gigi Hadid, 26, and the couple share a baby daughter Khai.

Last month Zayn shared a rare insight into balancing fatherhood with his career after welcoming his daughter last September.
In a new interview, the star revealed how he juggles his busy lifestyle, which sees him spending 'a lot of time' with the model and their seven-month-old in the day, and write his music at night.
The singer said on a recent episode of the Zach Sang podcast: 'I've spent a lot of time with my little girl and my missus. When I can get the evening to myself I do a bit of writing and [Gigi] is really cool about it.'

'The fact that she [Khai] has been so easy to kind of just adjust to, it's been surprising to me because I just love spending my days with her, hanging out with her, and just doing really relaxing and chill stuff with her.'
Zayn and catwalk queen Gigi were excited to announce the birth of their first child back in September following a 14-hour natural water birth at the Bucks County, PA farmhouse he purchased back in 2017.
The What Makes You Beautiful hitmaker wrote at the time: 'Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful. To try put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task.

The couple are doting parents and have not hired a nanny to help care for little Khai, whose name (meaning 'crown' in Arabic) is a tribute to Gigi's late grandmother Khairiah.
