Police probing death of married Thai woman, 43, at east London flat want to speak to anyone who saw naked man walking streets - as 19-year-old is charged with her murder

• As investigation continues, police want to hear from anyone who saw a naked man walking in the area on January 24 or who may have found discarded clothes Detectives investigating the murder of a woman at an east London flat want to speak with anyone who saw a naked man walking in the area.

  Tiparat Argatu, 43, died from neck and head injuries at a property in Ellen Street, Whitechapel, on the morning of Sunday January 24.

  The Thai national had moved to London in September last year to be with her husband, the Metropolitan Police said.

  Police attended the property after concerns for the welfare of the woman were raised with the force. 

  David Cheres, 19, who is thought to have known the victim but is not related to her, has been charged with murder.Nobody else is being sought in connection with the death.

  Detectives believe a man was walking naked in the area between 4am and 9am on the morning of the alleged killing.

  Cheres, of Ellen Street, appeared at the Old Bailey last week and is next due at the same court on April 16.
