Grime star MistaKay, 25, whose music featured on Coronation Street and Radio 1 admits sexually abusing a toddler

    Kieron Cunliffe, also known as MistaKay, 25, yesterday admitted to six charges including sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 13, as well as making and distributing an indecent photograph. 

    The rapper made the pleas at Sheffield Crown Court on Friday, with a sentencing hearing due to take place next month.

    The grime artist, who has a track titled Pied Piper, has had his music feature on Coronation Street, as well as Radio 1

    His music has been played on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra and one of his songs was also played during an episode of Coronation Street.

    A more recent track, released in September 2020 and called 'Where I Came From', focused on the estate where he grew up in Doncaster. The 25-year-old from Doncaster admitted to three counts of sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 13, assaulting a girl under 13, taking an indecent photograph of a child and one count of distributing an indecent photograph of a child.

    Cunliffe was due to stand trial in May for the offences but will now be sentenced on February 26.

    According to a Discogs page, the artist, who counts the Pied Piper among his tracks, has been involved in campaigns for Adidas, Oasis Drinks, Lipton Ice Tea, Red Bull & Derby County FC. 

    It adds: 'A deal with Sony ATV led to his music being used on Channel 4, E4, ITV, BT Sport.'
