Viral footage has captured the moment a greedy dog in China snatched a bowl of food from its kennel neighbour when it was looking away.

The two-year-old husky, named Gou Za, is seen wolfing down the meal after stealing it from the distracted golden retriever next door.

The pet owner told MailOnline that the furry thief had been very sneaky and was finally caught in action recently.

Viral footage has captured the moment a greedy dog in a kennel in central China's Fengqiu County snatched a bowl of food from its kennel neighbour when its back was turnedMr Xie, a private breeder in central China's Henan Province, captured the scene while feeding the dogs at his kennel in Fengqiu County on Sunday morning.The owner said that he had recently noticed something unusual after putting food in the dogs' bowls which were each placed next to the cages.

'When I returned from feeding the other dogs, I found the [golden retriever's] bowl outside Gou Za's cage,' Mr Xie told MailOnline.

'I started observing and filmed the video while hiding behind a pillar,' he added.

The golden retriever, seemingly distracted while pacing around the cage, failed to notice that the furry thief had grabbed its bowl and moving it to his side.

After pouring the food into his bowl, Gou Za eagerly enjoyed his loot as he chomped down the meal.

Mr Xie said that his husky was so sneaky that he would only conduct the stealing while the owner was not looking.

'When I was there, he would just bark at the golden retriever,' Mr Xie said. 'When I walked away, he would start stealing the bowl. I had to hide behind the pillar to see what was going on.'
