The incident was brought to light when the food delivery worker, Hai Yafeng, was on his way home during a lunch break on Wednesday.
‘I heard some noise coming out of the rubbish bin. It was baby’s crying,’ the man told Pear Video.
Footage filmed by Mr Hai shows a filthy trash can overflowing with bags of rubbish as a faint cry can be heard in the background.

The incident was brought to light when the food delivery worker, Hai Yafeng (pictured right), was on his way home during a lunch break in China's northern region Ningxia on Wednesday
After digging through the rubbish bin, Mr Hai spotted the newborn baby wrapped in a black plastic bag and immediately contacted the authorities.
‘The baby looked like they had just been born an hour or two ago. The umbilical cord was even attached,’ the delivery worker added.
The abandoned infant has been in stable condition after being taken to a local hospital while the police are tracking down the child’s parents amid an ongoing investigation, reports say.
MailOnline has contacted Ningxia Police for further updates.
The news comes as another newborn girl has been deserted in southern China by her parents who ‘wanted to have a son’ instead, says local media.
The infant was abandoned by her father next to a filthy rubbish bin just hours after she was born because the family already had two daughters.
She was later brought to a local welfare centre by the authorities after a street cleaner spotted her and contacted police.
