Frantic search for schoolgirls, 11 and 13, one who hasn't been seen for 10 days - and a mystery Mercedes could hold the key to solving case

  • The search for a blonde haired 11-year-old has stretched into its ninth day 
  • She was last seen at about 8.30pm on Tuesday August 18 on the Gold Coast 
  • A second girl, 13, with long brown hair has also gone missing in the same state
Mystery surrounds the disappearance of two young schoolgirls who were reported missing in the same week. 
The frantic search for a blonde-haired, blue eyed 11-year-old has stretched into its tenth day.
She was last seen at about 8.30pm on Tuesday August 18 on Cronin Avenue in Main Beach on Queensland's Gold Coast.

Police described her as 150cm tall and white with a slim build.
She was last seen wearing a grey hoodie with black shorts, but it is believed she may also be carrying a pink hoodie.
A Mercedes was seen in the area around the same time, but it is not know if it is connected to her disappearance. 
'The girl has no money or a phone and is known to visit Burleigh Hill, Keebra Park and the Southport Pony Club,' police said in a statement.

A hunt is also underway for a second girl who was last seen in Browns Plains in Logan, south of Brisbane and an hour north of where the 11-year-old was last seen, on Monday, August 24.
The 13-year-old is described as 160cm tall and white with a slim build, long brown hair and brown eyes.
Police have urged anyone with information on the whereabouts of either girl to get in touch.
