In a tight spot! Pet Labrador called Carly sparks seven-hour cave-rescue mission after disappearing down a deep crevice chasing rabbits

A pet labrador vanished into a mountain hole looking for rabbits - and sparked a seven-hour cave rescue mission.
Young labrador Carla had been out walking on the mountainside when she disappeared down a narrow crack in the ground.
Five mountain rescuers rushed to the scene but couldn't reach the black pooch - who was perched on a ledge inside the hole.

'In a great example of teams working together, we were able to set up a suitable and safe rope system to get one of the cave specialists down to her, and though it was very narrow near the bottom he was able to secure Carla, allowing us to haul them both back to surface.
