In a sweet moment that made for sunshine on a rainy day, a family serenading their grandmother from outside her care home brought forth residents to balconies all around, to soak up some of the touching tribute as they sang “You Are My Sunshine.”
“Today we went to visit my grandma at her at her independent living facility, and four other women came out thinking we were there for them,” tweeted Rebecca Roy of Michigan last Sunday. “They all loved it. And so did we.”
Now you can, too.
The touching serenade was complete with guitar.
Families increasingly are finding innovative ways to connect with vulnerable relatives, as the coronavirus-induced pandemic shutdown continues across much of the U.S. and people work to protect vulnerable segments of the population.
