A 64-year-old woman was chased into a Manhattan wine shop and stabbed to death by her angry boyfriend, who then fled to a nearby rooftop and got into a tense standoff with cops, authorities said Thursday.
The chaos began when the frantic victim ran into Wine Heaven on Third Ave. near E. 25th St. in Kips Bay trying to get away from her boyfriend about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Her boyfriend burst in behind her and plunged a knife into her chest, then ran off, police said.
The victim was rushed to nearby Bellevue Hospital but could not be saved. Her name was not immediately released.

Before EMTs and cops arrived, the killer ran to the roof of a five-story building two blocks north.
Police rushed there and placed inflatable bags on the ground in case he jumped. He eventually surrendered and was taken to Bellevue Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
The knife was recovered, police said. Charges against the suspect were pending.
