Chynna, an up-and-coming rapper from Philadelphia, died Wednesday at age 25.
Also known as Chynna Rogers, her cause of death is currently unknown, Pitchfork reported.
Born in Philadelphia, Chynna began a professional career as a model at age 14 before signing with a record label and working with the late A$AP Yams, a member of the A$AP Mob.
She released her fourth and final EP, “in case i die first,” in December 2019.

In a 2018 interview with Pitchfork, Chynna spoke about overcoming opioid addiction earlier in her career.

Her friend and fellow artist Kehlani was among many mourning her death on Twitter.
