A northern California man dognapped an 11-week-old puppy from an emergency room nurse’s home while she was treating coronavirus patients Saturday, local Fox affiliate KTVU reported.
Police are still looking for the suspect.
Shaila Mahler had just brought Max, the Belgian Malinois pup, home two weeks earlier, according to KTVU. But the first time she left him alone, a man opened his kennel, picked him up and biked off.
Mahler is a registered nurse at Eden Medical Center, which is across the bay from San Francisco and about 20 miles south of her home in Concord, Calif.

Concord Police posted the above Facebook clip of the theft, which has been shared more than 5,000 times as of Tuesday night, and caption it “Warning you’re about to get really mad!”
Mahler told KTVU she’s offering a cash reward for Max’s return, even if he’s dropped off by the guy who stole him in the first place.
