This Is The Very First Photograph Taken Of A Human Being

This is the earliest known photo of a human being taken in 1838 in Paris by photographer Louis Daguerre. Daguerre took the picture with around seven minutes of exposure time.
Can you see the man?

Take a closer look. He’s standing in the bottom-left, having his boots shined. The image look deserted, but this street in Paris was actually bustling with traffic and pedestrians at the time the photo was taken. But everything was just moving too fast to register on the plate of the camera.
Here’s the photo in reverse showing the view as the photographer saw it:

Thankfully, the man in the image stood still long enough to appear in the photograph. But the person shining his boots didn't appear as distinctly.

The original image photographic plate is only 6.5 by 8.5 inches. But upon much closer examination, the image reveals other possible human beings in the photo.
This part of the image shows a person with a pram.

This part of the image shows a person's face in the window of the building.

Being at the right place, at the right time earned this guy a place in the history of photography. Too bad we’ll never know his identity.
